Melissa has a broad corporate finance practice, representing private equity firms, investment banks and major corporations in high-value public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, take-privates, joint ventures, distressed transactions, capital markets transactions and complex advisory matters.
Background and experience
Melissa specialises in complex public and private mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. She also has significant experience in a wide range of corporate finance transactions, including pre-IPO investments, equity capital raisings, capital markets transactions and general corporate matters, working with leading private equity firms, investment banks and major corporations.
Melissa is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales. Before joining Ogier in 2025, she worked at another offshore firm and prior to that, at Kirkland & Ellis. Earlier in her career, she completed a secondment with the local statutory securities regulator, focusing on takeover transactions.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (with Honours) from University College London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong.
Melissa is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
