Ogier is on a sustainability journey. Our focus is on continual improvement through setting challenging targets, allocating the right resources and approaching decisions and activities with a sustainability mindset.
We are members of the Net Zero Lawyers Alliance (NZLA) an organisation we are working with to develop industry best practices. We were the first offshore law firm making these commitments and achievements.
Our goals, strategies and practical steps
Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is one of our top priorities in our long-term sustainability journey.
As a business, Ogier commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. We also commit to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 46.2% within the same time frame and looking forward, we are setting a net zero target.
We are proud to have completed SBTi's validation process for our 2030 near-term science-based targets and received its approval in September 2023.
