Ogier advises CVC in €4.61 billion fundraise for third generation Strategic Opportunities fund

Ogier's Jersey Investment Funds team has represented CVC Capital Partners, one of the world's leading private equity and investment advisory firms, in connection with the formation and raising of its third generation Strategic Opportunities fund.

CVC's Strategic Opportunities platform invests in high-quality, stable businesses, with a focus on Europe and North America, and typically invests for a longer period compared with the broader private equity industry’s average hold period. Since inception, the platform has committed more than €7.5 billion to 18 businesses offering long-term strategic development opportunities across sectors and geographies.

The fund achieved total commitments of €4.61 billion, expanding the platform's investor base.

The Ogier team worked alongside lead counsel Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, providing support and assistance on Jersey legal and regulatory matters. The team was led by Matt McManus (partner) alongside Niamh Lalor (partner), and included associates Naomi Chinniah and Aaron Forster.
