Compliance status
We aim to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3Cs) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2AA standard.
Accessibility features
To ensure that ogier.com and ogierproperty.com are accessible to all users, our websites include:
- keyboard navigation, allowing interactive elements to be accessed, highlighted and operated without a mouse
- text resizing, enabling users to increase or decrease text size without losing content or website functionality
- responsive design, ensuring content is clear and usable on a variety of devices, including mobile phones and tablets
- descriptive alt text for images to support screen readers
- clearly labelled and easy-to-use forms with instructions and helpful error messages
Our ongoing commitment to improving accessibility
- We regularly review and test our websites to identify and address potential accessibility barriers.
- Our staff receive ongoing training to ensure our accessibility practices are current and effective.
- We make sure accessibility is a key factor in how we write, create and update content on our websites.
- We collaborate closely with our digital agency to continuously enhance and update functionality that does not meet the WCAG version 2.2 AA standard.
We have recently run a manual accessibility audit and we have identified the following areas that we are improving this year
- Some PDF documents are not yet optimised for assistive technologies. We are in the process of making these documents more accessible and exploring alternative ways to present their information online.
- We are reviewing and enhancing the labelling of site elements, such as ARIA attributes, so they can be more easily identified by assistive technologies.
- Certain links and buttons are being updated to include clearer, more descriptive text to improve navigation for all users.
- We are refining the heading structure across pages to support smoother and more consistent navigation
- We are assessing and updating colour use across the site to improve contrast and readability, ensuring our content can be accessed easily by everyone.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
- Some tables are structured incorrectly, so screen readers cannot understand the relationships between information in the table
- Some images and PDFs include text with poor colour contrast to its background.
- Our videos don't have transcripts and captions
